First post in a long time! Anyways, you see me up there in the back of the photo holding a guitar, and you can see the drummer behind the drum-set, haha. x)
So, Saturday and Sunday, I got my two recitals over with and I feel like a heavy weight has just been lifted off of my shoulders. :D It’s been a long time since I last performed. 6/25/11, Saturday, I went solo guitar, and I was a nervous wreck. I pulled it off though, and I was the last performer. Felt good afterwards receiving many compliments and positive feedback though. :)
6/26/11, Sunday recital wasn’t about me, I just played with a band as the guitarist for the vocal students. This is where the photo up there took place. Although we (the band) were almost drowned out by the singing, it went pretty well :) It wasn’t as nerve-wrecking considering I had a whole group of people around me. Performing with them was the most fun I’ve ever had in a while, and I hope to be able to do something like this again :) Most of the time, 4 of us (Tony-drummer, Tim-bass/guitar, Eric, and I) would just be sitting outside backstage complaining about how long the show took, sit around bored having nothing to do, mess around, and end up talking about different topics. I’ve learned a lot of stuff from them x) Needless to say, this day was memorable, and I hope to do something like it again! ^_^
